PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shower device wherein the operating force of an operation element can be reduced and a rise in pressure on the upstream side can be surely relieved, without increasing costs, so that a flexible pipe can be prevented from being broken. SOLUTION: The shower device includes a shower head 12 which has a water sprinkling port 11 at its forward end and has a closing valve 16 at the body of a shower head to start and stop sprinkling of water by operating an operation element 33, a mixer, combination faucet 13 communicating with the head 12 via a hose 14 connected to the base of the head 12, and a stop cock 15 which is provided between the faucet 13 and the hose 14 and is opened and closed by the variation in pressure produced within the hose 14 to effect stopping of water, adjustment of flow rate, and pressure regulation. A relief valve 36 is provided in the body of the shower head 12 separately from the valve 16 to relieve a pressure rise in a water passage 24 upstream of the valve 16 to a downstream side water passage 25. |
