PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently recover granular shavings and to recover red-heated lumps of shavings after cooling them by detecting them by a temperature sensor. SOLUTION: An elastic shielding plate 13 is fitted to the whole peripheral side face of a recovery container 12 to make a space to a track face airtight. The interior of the recovery container 12 is partitioned into three chambers by elastic partition plates. The center dust collecting chamber can always be kept airtight even in the case of an elastic shielding plate and the elastic partition plates being interfered with by a rail fastening device 28 or the like. An air injection nozzle is disposed in the center dust collecting chamber, and granular shavings are made to float from the track face in the dust collecting chamber, so that almost all granular shavings unrecoverable by a rail cutting device are suction-recovered into a dust collector. High temperature lumps of shavings are detected by a temperature sensor 24 and cooled by water spray from an injection nozzle 25, and then the lumps of shavings are recovered being attracted to a magnetic member 26 such as an electromagnet.
