PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal printer device capable of having a constant printing concentration by correcting the voltage value with respect to a heat generating resistor in a thermal head safely and certainly in a short time, and a method for correcting the applied voltage value thereof. SOLUTION: Optimum voltage value data are calculated based on the recording result recorded at an optional voltage value from the outside of a thermal printer device 101, and the optimum voltage value data are transmitted as a radio signal. The optimum voltage value data are stored in a nonvolatile memory 106 in the thermal printer device 101 so that a voltage value corrected based on the optimum voltage value data is applied onto a heat generating resistor of a thermal head 110 whenever the power source is turned on. Accordingly, a constant printing density can be obtained.
