PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the accuracy of coating thickness by setting the opposed interval between the orifice part of a nozzle and continuous paper constant at a time of the coating of a functional material such as ink or the like having flowability. SOLUTION: Continuous paper 20 is transferred by a transfer roller 3 and a nozzle 16 is arranged correspondingly to the transfer route of the continuous paper 20 and a functional material having flowability is emitted to the continuous paper 20 from the orifice part 16b of the nozzle 16 to be applied thereto and a plurality of the nozzles 16 are provided to a nozzle cylinder 5 having an axial line extending in the lateral direction of the transferred continuous paper 20 and revolved around the axial line by a regulation lever 6 to be displaced to a work state and a non-work state so as to provide an interval in the axial direction. The nozzle 16 has a guide part 16c coming into contact with the surface of the continuous paper 20 on the upstream side in the transfer direction of the continuous paper 20 at a time of the work state of the nozzle cylinder 5 and the orifice part 16b opposed to the surface of the continuous paper so as to provide an interval on the downstream side in the transfer direction of the continuous paper 20.
