CALL PROCESSING METHOD BETWEEN BASE STATION CONTROLLER AND MOBILE SWITCHING CENTER

PURPOSE: A call processing method between a base station controller and a mobile switching center is provided to reduce the overload element within the mobile switching center by decreasing signal elements and required memory capacity in the mobile switching center. CONSTITUTION: The call processing method includes the steps of: transmitting a message including a circuit identity code to a mobile switching center; translating 16 bits after CIC and confirming ID of a trunk line to which a corresponding message is transmitted by an A-interface block of the mobile switching center; and sending a signal including the ID of the trunk line to a subscriber call processing block and transmitting a response message by the A-interface block; and directly transmitting a message to the base station controller by the subscriber call processing block by means of the ID of the trunk line. This invention removes the unnecessary signal processing step and improves the hand-off function.
