PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of obtaining an image excellent in quality by realizing stable gradation and color reproducibility by means of a contact DC developing method or the like. SOLUTION: The surface of a photoreceptor drum is electrified to form an electrostatic latent image by means of exposure, then the sequence to decide developing voltage is started, and the developing voltage is increased from V1 (V) by the specific value (a) (V), thereby gradually developing the latent image. The image density of the toner image developed by the increasing development voltage is detected by a density detecting sensor, the detected output is converted into density data D, and the detected density D is compared with the density set value (b). The absolute value of developing voltage V1 is increased by (a) (V) until obtaining the result of D>(b), then the voltage V1 at the time of D>(b), as the developing voltage V2 is applied to the developing roller at the time of the image forming operation. |
