PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the length of an element in a laser beam propagation direction. SOLUTION: Electrodes 15, 16 for heating are formed on the flank of an light transmissible medium 12 and pulse power sources 17, 18 for impressing pulse currents are connected to these electrodes 15, 16 for heating. Heat sinks 19, 20 are formed on the flank facing the flank formed with the electrodes 15, 16 for heating of the light transmissible medium 12. A spherical surface-shape reflection surface is formed on the exit side of the light transmissible medium 12. The incident laser beam on the reflection surface approaches the tangent direction of the spherical surface-shape reflection surface at an incident point and the incident angle and reflection angle change largely with an increase in the deflection angle and, therefore, the magnitude of the deflection angle of the reflected laser beam reflected by the spherical surface-shape reflection surface depends not only on a refractive index gradient but on the curvature of the spherical surface-shape reflection surface as well. The execution of the two-dimensional scanning increased in the magnitude of the deflection angle is thus made possible.
|
