PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a call termination notification method in a telephone set with a caller number display function capable of discriminating if the telephone number of a caller terminal is displayed, a non-notification operation is performed or a call is originated from a public telephone without going near the telephone set and confirming a display part. SOLUTION: During standby (S100), when a call is terminated from a network (S102), whether or not it is number notification for which the data of the telephone number are transmitted is judged (S104). Upon receiving the telephone number data, they are displayed (S106) and first call termination sound is outputted (S108). Also, in the case of not receiving the telephone number data, whether it is the non-notification of the telephone number or call origination from the public telephone is discriminated (S110). As a result, when it is the non-notification of the telephone number, it is performed (S112) and second call termination sound is outputted from a speaker (S114). Also, when it is the call origination from the public telephone, public display is performed (S116) and third call termination sound is outputted from the speaker (S114).
