PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a leakage current measuring device for an insulator capable of measuring a leakage current with high precision and reducing its size and cost. SOLUTION: This device includes an insulator 1, a lower metal structure 2 provided at the lower part of the insulator 1, a ring metal electrode 3 provided between the insulator 1 and the lower metal structure 2 via an insulating layer 10, an electric wire 4 connected between the metal electrode 3 and the lower metal structure 2, and a leakage current detecting CT 5, having a low impedance negligible compared to the impedance of the insulating layer 10, provided on the electric wire 4 for detecting a current in the electric wire 4. According to this device, a leakage current flowing through the insulator, the metal electrode, the electric wire and the lower metal is measured by the leakage current detecting CT. In this case, the leakage current detecting CT provided on the electric wire can be reduced in size and free from separation so that highly precise measurement is ensured, the number of parts and the number of assembling processes for the leakage current detecting CT are reduced, field mounting is simplified and a lower price is applicable.
