PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of operations by a microcomputer, to reduce the monitoring memory capacity, to correctly reproduce the generation of the gate pulse and the glitch, and to greatly shorten the tracing time for the cause of failures of a switching element. SOLUTION: A failure monitoring device is provided with a monitoring memory 20 to store the gate pulse data in detecting an edge and its time data, other monitoring data including the current, the voltage and the failure detection signal of a power converter and their detection time data, an address counter to control the address to link each data with each time data in reproducing the monitor, and a microcomputer 21 to control these operations. |
