PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a jig for removing a valve without excessive instruments or labor and capable of assuring safety. SOLUTION: An inner cylinder 2 is engaged with and inserted into an outer cylinder 1 in such a way that both the cylinders may be axially slidable and may not be rotated. A pawl segment 8 is projected from the outer cylinder 1 and the inner cylinder 2, respectively at right angles to their axes and in the same direction. A nut 5 is secured to each single end of the outer cylinder 1. A bolt 6 is screwed into each nut 5. The tip of each bolt 6 is abutted to a pressure bearing segment 7 provided in the inner cylinder 2. The outer cylinder 1 and the inner cylinder 2 are moved, respectively to widen intervals between the pawl segments 8, widening intervals between flanges 12, 12 of a valve 13 on both the sides.
