PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the radio system that surely inhibits an MS in a public place by restricting an outgoing call and an incoming call when the MS enters a restriction area. SOLUTION: The radio system is provided with an MS 2, a BS 4 making radio communication with the MS 2, an exchange station 6 that contains the BS 4, an inhibit signal transmission station 8 that transmits an inhibit signal in terms of a radio wave, and the MS 2 is provided with a 1st storage means 10, a detection means 12 that detects the inhibit signal, a 1st setting means 13 that sets a flag when the inhibit signal is detected to store the signal to the 1st storage means 10, a 2nd setting means 14 that clears the flag when the inhibit signal is not detected and stores the signal to the 1st storage means 10, an inhibit means 16 that inhibits at least either of an outgoing call and an incoming call when the flag is set, and an outgoing/incoming call means that conducts the outgoing and incoming signals when the flag is cleared.
