<p>A banded clothing device comprises a tubular fabric structure (1) having at least one pocket (3) formed therein for receiving an object. The device may be utilized with a hair band, a headband, or a hat. One method of making the device is by forming a pleat in an elongate strip of fabric transverse to the longitudinal plane thereof, folding the pleat toward the first end of the fabric, folding the fabric in the longitudinal plane, sewing along the open edge thereof so as to form a seam such that the strip of fabric forms a pleated tubular structure having at least one open end, and turning the pleated tubular structure right side out creating an inner chamber within the pleated tubular structure with the pleat forming a pocket therein. Other methods of making the device are also disclosed.</p> |
