PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tableware washing machine wherein even when tableware are placed up to the top end of the opening of washing room in a basket for washing tableware, the tableware do not come into contact with the ceiling face wall when the basket for washing tablewares is stored in the washing room and the basket for washing tablewares can be easily removed from a sliding body. SOLUTION: There exist a first rib-like sliding part 14 provided on the bottom face 7a of the washing room 7 and a second rib-like sliding part 15 provided on the inner face of a door 4 and when the door 4 is opened, the top face of the second sliding part 15 is positioned on the extension of the top face of the first sliding part 14 and the top faces of the first and the second sliding parts 14 and 15 are inclined in such a way that they are gradually lowered as they come to the back side of the washing room and the bottom face of a sliding body 8 is inclined in cope with the top face of the first sliding part 14 so as to hold the horizontal position of the basket for washing tablewares.
