PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To wipe ink adhered to a nozzle section on a recording head even when power is shut down during the operation for sucking defective ink from the nozzle section and the recording head is moved unexpectedly. SOLUTION: A suction pump 54 for sucking defective ink from a nozzle section on a recording head through a suction cap 53 which is capped on the nozzle section is driven by means of pump cam grooves 59, 60 formed on a cam body 56 which is driven to be rotated by a single driving source. A timing for starting elevation of an elevating member 55 of the suction cap 53 through a suction elevating cam groove 58 on the cam body 56 is made to be synchronized with a timing for starting the elevation of an elevating member 65 of a wiper body 64 through a wiper groove 66 on the identical cam body 56. |
