PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the generation of Karman's vortex and downwash caused by a cross wind so as to completely prevent air pollution by smoke by providing cutout parts vertically at four corners of an outer cylinder for covering the outer periphery of a plurality of inner cylinders (chimneys). SOLUTION: An outer cylinder 3 for surrounding a plurality of chimneys 2, 2 is provided from the viewpoint of fine view, and the chimneys 2, 2 are made invisible to constitute one chimney 1. Four corners of this chimney 1 is provided with cutout parts 4 of about a=1/10A in dimension. The top part of the chimney 1 can be provided with a gas permeable wall formed of a longitudinal louver, a lateral louver, wire gauze or the like so as to be at the same height as the inner cylinders 2, 2 to make the top part of the inner cylinders 2, 2 invisible. When a cross wind blows against the chimney 1, the generation of Karman's vortex is prevented, and downwash is prevented. Air pollution by smoke can therefore be prevented without impairing the fine view of the chimney.
