A swivel joint comprises an annular casing 12 rotatably mounted on a sleeve 10, an axial passage 14 in said sleeve communicating through a radial port 22 with an annular passage 32 in the casing, an annular bearing sleeve of nylon disposed between one end of the casing and the sleeve, and a plurality of balls 52, preferably of nylon, disposed in aligned circumferential grooves 28 and 30 in the other end of the casing and sleeve. The grooves and ball arrangement provides both a bearing and means axially locking the sleeve in the casing. A removable plug 42 permits insertion or removal of the balls. |
