<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To judge whether information is applied to a free service guarantee period or not and to dissolve friction with a consumer by inputting and storing date information required for recognizing the service guarantee period when a product is used first after it is purchased. SOLUTION: A counter value for the number of setting times N on service information is previously set to '0' and a password for changing/adding information is set (S201). When a user purchases a product, the number of setting times N=0 is recognized (S202) and the presence or absence of a key instruction for operating the product for the first time after it is purchased is recognized (S203). Data on a service information menu is read from a memory and it is displayed on a display (S205). When the user inputs information applied to the item of the service information menu (S206), the input of a storage instruction is recognized (S207), the input of date information on a product purchase date is recognized in the menu (S208) and a menu screen is deleted (S210). Then, a setting counter is increased by one (S211) and data on inputted pertinent service information is stored in the memory (S212).</p> |
