PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic watch capable of accurately detecting a transfer wheel rotation position. SOLUTION: This electronic watch is provided with a contact spring 622 rotated integrally with a transfer wheel 620, and the contact spring 622 nearly linearly extends through the rotation center 630 of the transfer wheel 620. The electronic watch is provided with a first detecting pattern 626 and a second detecting pattern 628 brought into contact with the contact spring 622 when the contact spring 622 is rotated. The first detecting pattern 626 and the second detecting pattern 628 are arranged at the angle of about 180 deg. against the rotation center 630 of the transfer wheel 620. A rotation position detection signal is generated when the contact spring 22 is brought into contact with the first detecting pattern 626 and the second detecting pattern 628.
