PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power converter which is capable of lowering induction and can enhance cooling performance, and can make the overall external size of the device small. SOLUTION: This power converter is constituted of plural pieces of combined inverter units each for one phase, and the inverter unit where three levels of AC output can be obtained comprises first to fourth element packages where each power element 1-4 is packaged, first and second reflux diode packages where two pieces of neutral point clamp diodes 9 and first, second, third, and fourth reflux diodes 5 and 6 are packaged each, and a clamp diode package where a clamp diode is packaged, and the first and second reflux diode packages are juxtaposed at one wall face of the clamp diode package, and the first, the second, the third, and the fourth element packages are juxtaposed each on the facing wall faces of reflux diode packages. |
