摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To observe the behavior of wall charge at the time of address by providing both pulse waveform generating devices to impress pulse voltage waveform on the first, second, and third electrodes and a current integration measuring device between one of the electrodes and the corresponding pulse waveform generating device and measuring the changes with time in the amount of charge together with the changes with time in the voltage waveform to be impressed on each electrode. SOLUTION: Pulse waveform generating devices 1 to 3 to impress a drive waveform on each of a scan electrode, a sustaining electrode, and a data electrode are provided. The potential difference Vscn-sus between the scan electrode and the sustaining electrode is detected through the use of a differential amplifier A1. The potential difference Vcs of a reference condenser Cs inserted between the sustaining electrode and the device 1 is detected by a differential amplifier A2. The potential differences Vscn-sus and Vcs and data electrode voltage V data are measured by an oscilloscope. The reference condenser Cs is for measuring the amount of charge on the side of the sustaining electrode, and the amount of charge transfer is computed by measuring the amount of changeΔVcs in the potential difference Vcs which changes due to the drive waveform impressed on each electrode.
