The invention concerns a transport and storage protector for the edges of cylindrical paper rolls. It is characterised in that the disc-shaped protector has a circular shape and exhibits a central, circular portion (3; 303) which is surrounded by an edge portion wherein the central portion (3; 303) has a greater thickness than the edge portion (4; 304). The edge portion (4; 304), which lies nearest to the end surface of the roll (1) extends all the way out to the edge of the roll (1) and the thicker, central portion (3; 303), which is arranged concentrically with the edge portion (4; 304), extends only part of the way out towards the edge. |
