Bonded elastomer seal valve assembly

A valve for regulating a flow of pressurized gas in a torch includes a valve body having a central bore and a connected outlet bore. A valve needle (60) is disposed in the central bore and has an end face (72) facing a valve seat (32) formed in a portion of the central bore. A bonded elastomer seal (90) is loosely disposed between the end face and the valve seat. The valve needle is movable to a closed position wherein the end face compresses the elastomer seal on the valve seat to close the central bore from the outlet bore.
