PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a microbicide composition showing an intensified synergic effect on the infection of wide-ranging plant diseases esp. plant plague, plant downy mildew or the like by including a specific substituted thiophene derivative and a specific compound. SOLUTION: This composition is obtained by including (A) a substituted thiophene derivative of formula I [R is e.g. a 3-12C (halogeno)alkyl, a (substituted) 3-10C cycloalkyl or a 3-10C (halogeno)alkenyl, and R and NHCOAr are adjacent to each other; Ar is e.g. of formulas II to IV (R1 is e.g. trifluoromethyl, methyl or a halogen); however, R1 is not a halogen when Ar is e.g. of formula II or III] and (B) 0.01 to 10 pts.wt, pref., 0.01 to 5 pts.wt., more pref., 0.05 to 5 pts.wt. of an acrylate-based compound of formula V [B is e.g. a phenyl (having <=3 of e.g. cyano or a halogen); A is O or an oxymethylene (-OCH2-); X is CH or N; and Y is O or NH].
