PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roof device to block come off of a roof part from a roof cut-out part especially in an opening state during serious vehicle collision. SOLUTION: In a roof device fop cut-out of the roof of an automobile having at least two roof parts supported movably in the longitudinal direction of a vehicle at a common guide part, means 5, 6, and 7 to lock the roof part are attendantly mounted in a guide part 4 on at least a frontmost roof part 2a in the running direction V of the automobile. In this ease, locking is effected depending upon deceleration of the automobile occurring due to vehicle collision.
