PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To locate fault in a parallel n line system (n>=4) by zero-phase differential current system. SOLUTION: In a system for locating single line-to-ground fault of 1 line in a power system comprising a plurality of parallel lines 1L-nL laid between one and the other electric stations A, B, fault is located at the power system comprising 4 or more parallel lines, based on the neutral point current INR which is detected at the single line-to-ground fault of 1 line in the electric station A, the zero-phase currents I1A, I2A,..., InA of the plurality of parallel lines at one electric station A or the zero-phase currents I1B, I2B,..., InB of the plurality of parallel lines at the other electric station B and the number of parallel lines n.
