PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve clearness of an image to be generated from a video signal by constituting a device of a differentiation circuit to generate a correction signal in response to transition of a received luminance signal, a filter to change the shape of the correction signal and a mechanism to couple the modified correction signal with the luminance signal in the case of its corresponding transition. SOLUTION: The device is constituted by a differentiation circuit 20 to generate a correction signal in response to transition of received luminance signal, a filter 40 to modify the shape of the correction signal and a mechanism to couple the changed correction signal with the luminance signal in the case of its corresponding transition. The luminance signal is received at an input part 12 by the device. The inputted luminance signal is propagated to a buffer 14. An output part of the buffer 14 is connected to the differentiation circuit 20 with a register part 21 and a capacitor 22. A correction pulse to be generated by the differentiation circuit 20 is AC connected to a separation buffer 38. An output part of the buffer 38 is connected to a filter circuit 40 which is possible to be synchronized. An output part of the filter circuit 40 is connected to an amplitude attenuation circuit 50.
