PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure an accurate blood-sugar level by automatically calculating proper measuring timing. SOLUTION: In a blood-sugar level measuring apparatus for measuring a blood-sugar level in blood on the basis of the color change of a reagent reacted with blood, a reagent piece 101 to which blood is bonded is irradiated with light and the intensity of the reflected light thereof is detected by a photodetector 106 and, on the basis of absorbance when the change quantity of the detected intensity of the reflected light per a predetermined time reaches 2% or less, the blood-sugar level of blood is calculated.
