PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a television warning device capable of attracting a viewer's attention not to keep on watching television in the darkness by automatically issuing a warning to the viewer of the television when the television is turned on when at least the surroundings of the television are dark and the surroundings of the television become dark while the viewer is watching the television. SOLUTION: The television warning device is constituted of a television operation sensor 1 to detect whether a television receiver is in an operating state or not, an illuminance sensor 2 to detect brightness of the surroundings, a logic element 3 in which both detected outputs of the television operation sensor 1 and the illuminance sensor 2 are inputted and a warning informing means (4 to 8) to be driven by an output of the logic element 3 and to report the warning.
