PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a high data transfer rate. SOLUTION: A digital processing circuit 11 and a latch circuit 12 are formed on a single semiconductor substrate by being integrated with a CD-ROM decoder 19 composed of an input interface circuit 13, an error correcting/detecting circuit 14 and an output interface circuit 15. Data are fetched from the digital processing circuit 11 into the latch circuit 12 in a parallel manner and, further, the data are fetched from the latch circuit 12 into the input interface circuit 13 in a parallel manner.
