CIRCULAR FLUORESCENT LAMP AND LUMINAIRE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide circular fluorescent lamps prepared for a low profile luminaire, and suppressing damage to an exhaust tube provided in the end part caused by bending a glass bulb, and to provide a luminaire using the circular fluorescent lamps. SOLUTION: The outside diameter D1 of this circular fluorescent lamp 1a (1b, 1c) is approximately the same as a conventional circular fluorescent lamp, and a bulb outside diameter d is of 15-18 mm smaller than the blub outside diameter d' of the conventional one. A fluorescent material is applied on the internal surface of the glass bulb 2, then mercury and a rare gas are enclosed within the glass bulb 2. A rib 3a as an end part moving means is prominently provided on the internal surface of a base 3 in order to prevent damage to an exhaust tube 2a caused by getting close of both end parts of the glass bulb 2 to each other.
