PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stator of an electric rotary machine which can effectively dissipate heat generated in a coil to the outside of the stator. SOLUTION: When a plurality of electromagnetic steel plates 14 are laminated, insulating plates 18 are inserted into parts between the steel plates 14, at specified intervals. The insulating plate 18 can form a protruding part 18a along the slot inner wall surface of a stator core 12, and forms a space 20 which has open hole on a coil 16 side between the mounted coil 16 and the slot inner wall surface. Since the space 20 is opened to the coil 16, insulating resin 22 can be easily injected in a part between the coil 16 and the slot, by having the coil 16 impregnate with the insulating resin 22. Thereby air layer in the stator is expelled, and heat in the coil 16 can be effectively dissipated to the outside of the stator.
