PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration-proof unit for a camera whose structure is simple, whose assembly is easy and by which the miniaturization of a device and the reduction of cost are realized by supporting the lens frame of a vibration-proof lens movably in the up-and-down direction by an inner holding frame on the outside of the lens frame, supporting the inner holding frame movably in the right-and-left direction by an outer holding frame on the outside of the inner holding frame and constituting the unit so as to drive the lens frame and the inner holding frame in the up-and-down direction and the right- and-left direction by actuators installed on the inner holding frame and the outer holding frame. SOLUTION: A vibration-proof lens 10 is fit and held in a lens frame 14, the lens frame 14 is supported to freely move in the up-and-down direction by an inner holding frame 16 through guides 19A and 19B and the inner holding frame 16 is supported to freely move in the right-and-left direction by an outer holding frame 18 through guides 20A and 20B. The lens frame 14 and the inner holding frame 16 are respectively driven in the up-and-down direction and the right-and-left direction by actuators 24 and 26.
