PURPOSE: A switching board is provided to supply a self voice mail service without relying on an external type voice mail service device. CONSTITUTION: A Voice Mail Service(VMS) function controlled by a main processor in a switching board is composed of: a VMS subscriber registering / deleting function; a VMS connecting and disconnecting function; and a VMS subscriber information and message information deleting function. Herein, the VMS connecting function is divided into a save function which connects an ordinary subscriber to a VMS board(108) when the ordinary subscriber calls to a subscriber registered to the VMS while the corresponding subscriber is out or the line is busy and a confirm function which is for the VMS registered subscriber to check a message left to the subscriber.
