AN UV-RAYS BLOCKING AGENT EXTRACTED FROM HUMAN HAIR AND COSMETICS CONTAINING THIS

PURPOSE: An extraction method of melanin from human hair is provided. The cosmetics using this melanin protect the human skin from UV-rays without side effects. CONSTITUTION: The extraction way of melanin from human hair comprises of: Freezing human hairs by pouring liquid nitrogen; Grinding this into powder; Adding 0.16N-sodium sulfate solution to this and leave it for 5hrs(here, physical bonds of proteins are broken, so proteins are dissolved into sodium sulfate solution); Filtration; Keeping the filtrate and Dissolving hydrogen bonded proteins in residue by 2M urea; Filtration; Adding 1N-sodium hydroxide solution to the residue and Keeping this for 6hrs; Filtration; Mixing the all filtrate after Neutralized by adding hydrochloric acid; Concentrating neutralized filtrate under the decompression; Drying granules gained from these processes under the decompression.
