PURPOSE: A wheel chair has a handle provided on the one side of a driving axis for driving a hydraulic jack for the patent seated on the wheel chair to move the handle forward and backward and thereby ascend the seat as high as a bed without an aid of another person. CONSTITUTION: The wheel chair(1) comprises:a hydraulic jack(10) provided under a seat(4)for ascending/descending the seat(5), the hydraulic jack(10) being fixed on a bracket(15) fused at the lower part of a wheel chair frame(8), the hydraulic jack(10) having a ram(12) with the top end thereof being fixed at a lower plate(16) of the seat(5); a hydraulic pump(13) for operating the hydraulic jack(10), the hydraulic pump(13) having a plunger(14) with the top end thereof connected to an operational link(18) forming a longitudinal hole(17); a connection point(21) of a connection link(20) being fixed at a driving axis(19) and connected to the longitudinal hole(17) of the operational link(18), the driving axis(19) having the one side thereof integrated with a handle(22); a leg support(23) having both blades(27)(27') fixed to a rotatory axis(26) provided with a ratchet wheel(24) and a ratchet(25); a back plate(6) having a frame(6'); and arm supports(30) provided in the middle of the frame(6') and upwardly turned by 90 degrees.
