PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate discrimination of the kind, specification or the like of many kinds of bars for tubular by enabling marking many marks such as signs and letters on the entire periphery of the thickness part of the cross section of the bar for tubular. SOLUTION: In a state where the bar 1 for tubular is clamped with a vise device 5, the positioning of the center of the rotation of a rotary arm 9 in the center line in the axial direction of the bar for tubular is enabled and also the positioning of the marking head 3A of a marking machine 3 attached to the rotary arm 9 in the thickness part 1A where the bar 1 for tubular is cut in the direction perpendicular to the center line in the axial direction of the bar 1 for tubular is enabled and, as the rotary arm 9 is rotated in this state, plural marks are successively marked in the thickness part 1A with the marking head 3A.
