ANTIBACTERIAL POLYESTER FIBER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain dyed antibacterial polyester fibers having enriched washing durability without damaging feeling of the fibers by dispersing and introducing a complex of a specific antibacterial agent and an acidic dye into polyester fibers. SOLUTION: A complex-formable dyeing dispersion containing at least one kind of antibacterial agent selected from a group of polyhexamethylene biguanite salt, chlorhexidine gluconate and a condensation reaction product of cyanoguanidine with polyalkylenepolyamine and an acidic dye is prepared. Polyester fibers comprising a modified polyester obtained by copolymerizing an aliphatic dicarboxylic acid and/or an aliphatic diol and having <=65 deg.C glass transition temperature or polyethylene terephthalate copolymerized with 10-15 mol.% of adipic acid are subjected to a dye-exhaustion treatment in the complex-formable dyeing dispersion and dispersing and introducing the complex of the antibacterial agent and the acidic dye to obtain the objective antibacterial polyester fibers.
