PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute imaging with less memory capacity and to effectively use a memory by deciding a size for driving bit map data in a vertical scanning direction in accordance with the number of bits showing one pixel. SOLUTION: The number of divisions of pseudo color memory is decided by comparing it with the allocation possible capacity of a system for one time. When the capacity of the system is about 5M bytes, for example, the pseudo color memory is divided into four in a column direction with 16M/4=4M bytes (S300). When the whole number of columns is set to be (m) with the first scanning of a DVI file, the pseudo color page memory for 0-m/4 lines is secured. Associated text/image/graphic information are written into the memory. Information on the pseudo color page memory is written into the file after the reading of the DVI file terminates (S304-305). The files for the number of divisions are connected and one complete pseudo color page memory is created after writing into the page memories for the number of divisions terminates (S307). |
