PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dry process magnetic separator in which the processing rate of a raw material and the quality and the recovery efficiency of a magnetic substance to be separated are improved as well as in which heat is prevented from being generated in a cylindrical drum. SOLUTION: In a dry process magnetic separator 10 in which plural magnets 15 so located that the polarity of adjoining magnets differs are solidly fixed in an arc shape on the inside of a cylindrical drum 14 rotated by a rotating drive unit, and in which a raw material to fall onto the cylindrical drum 14 is separated into a magnetic substance 12 and a nonmagnetic substance 13, a magnet 15 is arranged only on the front upper part of the inside of the cylindrical drum 14, and further, the rotating drive unit which provides the high speed rotation to the cylindrical drum 14 is used. |
