PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a robbery preventing device and a fitting stand for a robbery preventing tag which surely prevent a robbery of commodity carried out by cutting the fitting stand so as to separate the robbery preventing tag from a cable. SOLUTION: A first tag body 1, a first detection switch 13, a second tag body 22, a second detection switch 23, a cable 12 which electrically connects the first and second tag bodies, a warning means 15 emitting warning when the first or second detection switch is detected to be detached from an object or when the cable 12 is cut, a fitting stand 21 and a cable insertion path 21c formed in the fitting stand 21 are provided. The cable 12 is meandered and arranged in the cable insertion path 21c so that it surrounds the detection parts 13 or 23 of the first or second detection switch fitted to the fitting stand 21 from two directions.
