PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a visualizing device which can accurately visualize an image formed of radiated infrared rays, etc., with high sensitivity. SOLUTION: The inclination of each reflecting section 5 two-dimensionally arranged on a substrate 1 varies depending upon the heat generated from the corresponding infrared-ray absorbing section which absorbs infrared rays from a heat source 31. The readout light from a light source 10 becomes a nearly parallel flux of rays 42 through a lens system 11 and is obliquely projected upon each reflecting section 5. The flux of reflected rays 43 from each section 5 passage through the lens system 11 and, after passing through the system 1, only a desired bundle of rays of the passed flux of rays 44 selectively passes through the opening 12a of a flux-of-ray restricting section 12. The passed flux of rays 45 reaches the light receiving surface CCD 20 conjugatively arranged with the reflecting sections 5 through another lens system 12 and forms an optical image composed of the image of each reflecting section 5 on the light receiving surface. The light quantity of the image of each reflecting section 5 varies depending upon the inclination of the section 5.
