PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase current collecting capacity of an electrochemical cell by increasing the contact area with an electrode spirally appearing on side end surface of a roll-like stacked electrode. SOLUTION: In a roll-like stacked electrode 1 constituted with a first electrode 4, a second electrode 6, and insulating layers 8, 10 for separating these electrodes, a coating layer 14 is formed in a region selected at one end of the first electrode 4 in a thermal spray coating process. The coating layer 14 is formed by spraying to the first electrode 4 from a specified angle so as not to come in contact with the second electrode 6 and the insulating layers 8, 10. A conductive strip 22 made of a material matching to the first electrode 4 is fixed to the coating layer 14 or buried in the coating layer 14, current is taken out from the conductive strip 22, and thereby, current collecting capacity is increased. A coating layer is also formed in the second electrode 6 in almost the same way. |
