摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an axis aligning device for optical fibers which is capable of making axis alignment of the optical fibers to each other with excellent accuracy and is low in cost and simple in structure. SOLUTION: This device is provided with an optical fiber moving stage 1 which is freely movable in an X-direction and Y-direction orthogonal with the optical axis Z of the optical fiber. This optical fiber moving stage 1 is provided with a V-shaped groove 21 for positioning and clamping the optical fiber 2 and an X-reference plane 12 and Y-reference plane 7 as the respective stage moving reference planes in the X- and Y-directions. The X-reference plane 12 side is provided with a Y-lever arm 10 for moving the optical fiber moving stage 1 in the Y-direction by the principle of a lever. A Y-roller 13 disposed at its working point is brought into contact with the X-reference plane 12. The Y-reference plane 7 side is provided with an X-lever arm 5 for moving the optical fiber moving stage 1 in the X-direction by the principle of a lever. The respective force points of the X-lever arm 5 and the Y-lever arm 10 are respectively provided with spindles 9, 14 for moving the respective arms forward and backward.
