PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recording device capable of improving a print quality by preventing deformation of a brush for the charging device in consequence of a standby habit, stabilizing the press contact force, etc., of the brush held in contact with a photoreceptor drum while eliminating the load change of rotary driving, and stabilizing the charge of the photoreceptor drum. SOLUTION: This image recording device of system performing the uniform charge before projecting light in accordance with the image on the photoreceptor drum 62, by arranging the charging device 65 on the photoreceptor drum 62 and while, the device is allowed to constitute the charging device with the brush charging device 65, to dispose associating means 80 capable driving the photoreceptor drum 62 and the brush charging device 65 in associating with each other, and in the same time, to provide switching means 80 on the associating means 80, for switching the contact state and non-contact state, in the photoreceptor drum 62 and in the brush charging device 65.
