<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a lid from deforming and to reduce the thickness of an outer can further by setting a diameter of the innermost circumference part of a beading part arranged in the can to be larger than that of the innermost circumference part of a crimp part in the can. SOLUTION: A cylindrical battery is provided with a group of electrodes consisting of a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and a separator, an outer can 1, and a lid 2. In the can 1, a beading part 13 is arranged between the uppermost part of the can 1 and the uppermost part of the group of electrodes. An electrolyte is injected from an opening part in the can 1, a positive electrode lead and the lid 2 are welded together by spot welding with a peaking 5 placed on the beading part 13, the lid 2 is put in the packing 5, the circumference of the uppermost part of the can 1 is crimped, and then, the can 1 and the lid 2 are sealed together hermetically, In this process, diameter (a) of the innermost circumference part of the bending part 13 arranged in the can 1 is set to be larger than a diameter (b) of the innermost circumference part of the crimp part 14 in the can 1, so that crimping stress is applied to a laminating part 12 in the outer circumference.</p> |
