PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image input device using an amplifier type solid-state imaging device capable of removing FPN caused by the sensitivity variations of pixels. SOLUTION: This image input device is composed of a pixel array consisting of amplifier type pixels 1 capable of modulating the potential of an optical charge storage area, a row select line 2 commonly connected to pixels in row direction, a row reset line 3, a pixel potential modulation line 4, a vertical signal line 5 commonly connected to pixels is column direction, a vertical scanning circuit 6 for outputting a row select signalϕRDi to the row select line, reset signalϕRSi to the row reset line and pixel potential modulate signalϕMODi to the pixel potential modulate line, a first line memory 7 connected to the vertical signal line for each pixel column so as to store pixel output signal, a second line memory 8 for storing dark signals, third line memory 9 for storing a pixel output fluctuation amount when applying the pixel potential modulate signal, and a standardizing circuit 11 for reading out the stored signals in the respective line memories through the scanning of a horizontal scanning circuit 10, standardizing the pixel output signals with the pixel output fluctuation amount and outputting the result.
