PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper sheets processing device where the structure of a transportation path is simple, the length of the transportation path is short and the number of parts is small. SOLUTION: Gates G3 for transferring out paper sheets are installed at the left upper parts of paper sheets collecting units 19a-19c. The gates G3 have functions of switching a direction for transferring out paper sheets onto a transportation path 13 to right/left. A receiving/paying unit 21, a rejected paper money collecting unit 3, a paper money discrimination unit 5, a paper sheets temporary collecting unit 10 and the paper sheets collecting units 19a-19c are circularly connected by transportation paths 2, 4, 6, 7, 8 and 13 with such constitution and the transportation paths can be transported in two directions. Thus, the paper sheets can be received/paid and can be collected/supplied. The re- discrimination/transportation paper of rejected paper money can be constituted by using the rejected paper money collecting unit 3. Effect that the collected number of rejected paper moneys can be reduced and fund operation efficiency in a device can be improved is given.
