A personal hydration system with an improved mouthpiece for use in providing fluid for delivery to a user. The mouthpiece includes a neck (62) that is adapted to be mounted on a supply tube to a hydration system and which is joined to a resilient head (30). The head includes a dispensing face (32) with a pair of lips (50) that define a normally closed slit, through which fluid is dispensed through the mouthpiece. There is a bite region that extends from the neck; through a shoulder (46) transition, to the perimeter of the head.
