SOLUTION: This bearing device for the wheel has rows of tapered rollers 9, 10 in a double row, and fixes an inner ring 6 by rocking and caulking the end of a small diameter step 13b of a hub wheel 13. A pitch circle diameter PCDi of the inner side tapered roller 10 row is set in a larger diameter than a pitch circle diameter PCDo of the outer side tapered roller 9 row, and the roller length Li of the inner side tapered roller 10 row is set longer than the roller length Lo of the outer side tapered roller 9 row, and roller diameters di and do of the tapered roller rows of these double rows are set to be the same, and the roller number of the inner side tapered roller 10 row is set larger than the roller number of the outer side tapered roller 9 row.
